Prayer and Spiritual Life Commission

“We are a community where people can come for communal prayer and active involvement in worship.”

Altar Dusters

The Altar Dusters clean the sanctuary and refresh Holy Water Fonts on Fridays.

Centering Prayer

Centering Prayer is a method of quiet prayer that enables one to grow in relationship with God, transforming the mind to become more receptive to the movement of the Holy Spirit. Sessions are 1st and 3rd Thursdays, 7:20 pm in the Community Center, Hallway Room 2.

Chaplet of Divine Mercy

Prayer is on Wednesdays at 3:00 pm in the Church.

Communion to the Sick and Homebound

Pastoral Ministry is provided to those who are seriously ill especially when they are unable to attend church on Sunday. Weekly communion visitations will be arranged for people who cannot come to Mass for a period of time.

Greeters

The Greeters Team welcomes parishioners as they enter the church building at weekend Masses and helps create a warm and welcoming atmosphere in the church. Greeters are scheduled to offer welcome at one Mass each month. This is a wonderful ministry in which the whole family can get involved. For information and a link to sign up, click here.

Liturgical Ministers

Adult altar ministers and youth servers assist the priest at the altar during Mass, Bread and Cup ministers distribute Communion to the congregation, lectors proclaim the Scriptures, and the ushers assist in seating people and taking up the collection. Click here for information.

Music Ministry

The Music Ministry team reviews and provides input to the Worship Commission regarding music selection and presentation for all Masses with the goal of increased congregation participation on song, responses and volunteering.

Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration

Eucharistic Adoration provides the opportunity to spend quiet time in the presence of our Lord. Parishioners are scheduled for one-hour periods 18 hours a day (6:00 a.m. to midnight), 7 days a week. All parishioners are invited to stop by the chapel to pray at any time.

Pew Organizers

Each Friday morning this team prepares the church for the weekend Liturgical Services by organizing and straightening the books and removing unneeded papers. Several times during the year, they change the missalettes and once each year (the Friday after Thanksgiving) they change the hymn books.

Prayer & Spiritual Life Commission

The Commission is the liason with the other groups listed on this page. It assists the Pastor in planning and implementing the prayer and spiritual life of the parish, with a particular focus on the full participation of the faithful in the worship life of the Church through the liturgy of the Mass and the sacraments.

Rosary

This team promotes group prayer of the Rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet. The Rosary is prayed after daily Mass and on Tuesdays from at 2:30 pm. in the Community Center Room S-1. During the prayer time, we have prayer intentions, pray two full rosaries, read from the Bible and conclude with the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.

Youth Mass

This Mass focuses on teens, young adults and families through youth friendly music, homilies and presentations. Youth Mass is every Sunday at 5:30 p.m. All parishioners are welcome. Youth serve as liturgical ministers, musicians and singers.
