Today’s world is loud, full of noise and distractions, and it is relentless in pulling people away from truth, from family, from God.
​
Our world doesn't need people who cloak their faith, instead it needs people who live the conviction of their Catholicism for the world to see.
This retreat is an invitation to stop drifting and start standing — to move from a faith that is merely familiar in practice to one that is unshakeable in action.
​
Drawing from the great cloud of witnesses who went before us, people who trusted God when it cost them everything, we will examine what it truly means to live by faith in a world that frequently demands that we compromise our beliefs.
​
Come ready to challenge your conceptions, to be honest in your reflections, but to leave with a more unshakeable conviction in your relationship with God.
​
Come join your Catholic brothers and sisters in fellowship, with individual and group time to consider and contemplate the path of your Catholic formation.
​
While at the same time, strengthening the conviction of your Catholic faith and growing the bonds of your Catholic community.
​
The annual ACTS retreat is an opportunity for St. Pius X members to “retreat” from everyday life to intensify their individual relationship with God and to increase their bonds with the Catholic community that we’re a part of.
​
St. Pius X members who’ve attended the ACTS retreat have described it as, “deeply spiritually moving”, being “closer to Christ,” and “a new beginning.”
​
A community of fellow St. Pius X parishioners, all of whom have previously participated in an ACTS retreat, are responsible for organizing and conducting the retreat. The retreat, and its activities, reflect the traditions and atmosphere of our parish community.
​
The retreat begins on a Thursday evening and culminates the following Sunday in the celebration of 10:30 AM mass at St. Pius X.

The retreat begins on a Thursday evening at Our Lady of Peace retreat house in Beaverton, hosted by the Franciscan Sisters, and culminates the following Sunday in the celebration of 10:30 AM mass at St. Pius X.

What is ACTS?
ACTS is an acronym for Adoration, Community, Theology and Service, and these are the key elements of the retreat focus. ​​​​​​

Adoration: The call by, acceptance of, and response to God
Community: The love and caring of each other
Theology: The study of God through scripture and the Catholic Faith
Service: To God and His people
What is the Purpose of an ACTS Retreat?
“Faith is the realization of what is hoped for and evidence of things not seen." — Hebrews 11:1
The Greek word behind "conviction" (elegchos) carries the meaning of "evidence" — an inward certainty produced by the Spirit." This isn't mere willpower or grit. It's a supernatural certainty that God deposits in the soul of a man who surrenders to Him.
Faith is what sustains the people of God in the good and the bad, and it's the means by which they persevere. That's the kind of person this retreat is forming.

During the retreat, St. Pius X retreatants have time to explore, reflect on, and strengthen their personal relationship with God. The retreat also provides time to listen, share, and “break bread” with fellow St. Pius X members while growing the bonds of our Catholic community.
​
This retreat allows each retreatant to experience God's love and joy and deepen their faith in Him. It allows all to return to their lives with a deeper love for God, each other and a desire to become more involved in their faith community and serve others.
