This team assists the Pastor in planning and implementing liturgical celebrations with art, environment, word, music, and actions. Their goal is to nurture and enhance the full participation of the faithful in the worship life of the Church, particularly through the Liturgy of the Mass.

Music Ministry
The Music Ministry team reviews and provides input to the Worship Commission regarding music selection and presentation for all masses with the goal of increased congregation participation on song, responses and volunteering.

Charismatic Prayer
This prayer offers praise and worship to God, and helps the participants grow in their relationship with Jesus and in openness to the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration
Eucharistic Adoration provides the opportunity to spend quiet time in the presence of Our Lord. Parishioners are scheduled for one-hour periods 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All parishioners are invited to stop by the chapel to pray at any time.

Communion to Sick and Homebound
Pastoral ministry is provided to those who are seriously ill especially when they are unable to attend church on Sunday. Weekly communion visitations will be arranged for people who cannot come to mass for a period of time.

Rosary
Promoting group prayer of the Rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet, the Rosary is prayed after daily mass and on Tuesdays 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the Community Center. During prayer time we have prayer intentions, pray two full rosaries, read from the Bible and conclude with the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.

Hispanic Liturgical Ministers
This team provides liturgical music planning, training of parish musicians and leadership to the community at Sunday 12:30 Mass in Spanish. They also provide Spanish liturgical events such as Reconciliation services, funerals, first communion, weddings, Quinceaneras and bilingual celebrations.

St. Francis Dining Hall
Meals are served to the homeless at St. Francis Dining Hall located in SE Portland on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month. Individuals, families and youth volunteers are welcome. The team meets the second and fourth Mondays of each month.

Singers and musicians are welcome. We practice one night a week and sing at the 12:30 Sunday mass.

Stations of the Cross
Scheduled Prayer of the Stations gathers parishioners each Friday during Lent to walk with the Lord on his journey to the cross. All are welcome to attend.

Serra Club
The club promotes vocations to the priesthood and religious life. Meetings are held in Old St. Patrick’s Church the first and third Wednesdays of each month. Sponsored activities include a priest appreciation dinner, a sisters’ brunch and social activities with seminarians.

Liturgical Ministers
Adult altar ministers and youth servers assist the priest at the altar during Mass, bread and cup ministers distribute Communion to the congregation, lectors proclaim the scriptures, and the ushers assist in seating people and taking up the collection.

Youth Council
This leadership advisory board for youth ministry and all its activities is composed of middle and high school students and adults. They are involved in various aspects of youth ministry at St. Pius X. It follows the structure of pastoral council and has representation from all areas of youth ministry (Administrative, Social, Outreach, Faith Formation, and Worship).

This mass is focused on teens, young adults and families through youth friendly music, homilies and presentations. Held every Sunday at 5:30 p.m. All parishioners are welcome. Youth serve as liturgical ministers, musicians and singers.
